This week, we continue to consider how God made us creatures of time and how he calls us as creatures of time to be part of his kingdom plan. Key to that is an understanding of the different qualities of time - chronos and kairos - and how God was, in Jesus, initiating a new sort of time. This is the second in our sermon series on living as creatures of time and using well the days, so we hope you will join us for more times of reflection on this theme over the next few weeks.

Happy New Year! As we gathered for the first Sunday of 2024, our congregation began a period of reflection on what it means to live as creatures of time. Pastor Adam led a meditation on how we live adrift on the tides of time, and how that may well be a blessing by God. This it the first in a new sermon series, so we hope you will join us for more times of reflection on this theme over the next few weeks.  The choir enhanced our worship experience with their anthem, "Come to the Water."

We're so glad you can join us for the season of Advent at Farmville Baptist Church and the Farmville Baptist Podcast! In worship on December 17, 2023, the congregation praised God together and heard more of the story of John the Baptist, who understood his whole identity as pointing towards Jesus.
