Welcome to the season of Advent at Farmville Baptist Church and the Farmville Baptist Podcast! On December 10, 2023, the congregation praised God together and listened to the words of Scripture from the prophet Isaiah and from the Gospel of Mark. Our pastor, Adam Tyler, invited us to consider the message of John the Baptist and how we might need to consider our own need for repentance as we prepare to celebrate Christmas and look forward to Christ's second coming. Additionally, the choir shared the beautiful anthem, "Carol for Advent."

Welcome to the season of Advent at Farmville Baptist Church and the Farmville Baptist Podcast! On December 3, 2023, the congregation gathered for a special worship service, The Hanging of the Greens, where we prepared the sanctuary to help us prepare spiritually for the important season of Advent. Our service incorporated a short homily at the beginning to guide our thoughts, eight Scripture readings, and several pieces of special music. We hope this worship experience will attune your spirit to the Spirit of God and help you begin the journey towards Christmas
